Pennsylvania Elite Transportation Risk Organization
PETRO has entered its 15th year of providing workers compensation insurance to the finest transportation companies in the state of Pennsylvania. Historically, rates have been well below the market due to the excellent work of the TPA, better than expected subrogation recovery, and a incredible back-to-work light duty program. Rates over the 15 years have ranged from a low of 9.57 in 2001 to a high of 11.11 in 2004, not much difference over 15 years, which points to the stability of the group. Over the years, nearly $15,000,000 in shareholders dividends have been either paid or accrued to the PETRO members. PETRO's annual premium is about $10,000,000 for the 2010 policy year with nearly 30 members.
Elite Transportation Risk Retention Group
ETRRG is now entering its 5th year of insuring some of the finest transportation companies around. By being able to issue a primary policy with limits ranging from $1,000,000 up to $5,000,000 the group has something for everyone. With operating expenses well below 15%, this continues to be a very profitable venture for all ETRRG members. The groups loss ratio has been very impressive since its inception:

This is an average of 20% over nearly 5 years on nearly $25,000,000 of earned premium.
ETRRG paid its first dividend in 2009 in the amount of $150,000 for the 6/1/05-06 policy year. The group has accrued more than $3,000,000 in additional dividends to be paid in the next few years.
